Proverbs 9:10–11

Father God, I ask You to make my son/daughter wise. You say that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of You, so I ask that You would turn his/her heart to You and cause his/her knees to bow to You in reverent fear and awe. May s/he respect Your position, Your character and Your authority; may s/he come to the knowledge of who You are and what You are. May Your holiness insight him/her to walk uprightly and to follow You to the end. Lord, help him/her walk in wisdom and may his/her days and years be many. In Your great name I pray, Amen.

Psalm 8:1–2

O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth; may my child acknowledge Your majesty. You have set Your glory above the heavens; may s/he behold You as glorious. Let his/her mouth proclaim that You are above all else. Lord, You say that the mouths of children can pour out strength; You say they can still the enemy and avenger; Your power and authority can rest in them...may it be so, Lord. May wickedness be silenced by my child’s proclamation of You. In the matchless name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
